I think Willie explains watercolor techniques in detail. If there’s a problem with the coloring, he’ll analyze why it happened and teach how to avoid it. The hand-drawn Japanese shop class helps students better understand perspective drawing—it’s a fresh experience for beginners. A class with a “light watercolor” theme would also be great!

I remember my first art lesson: Teacher: Have you drawn before? Me: No. Teacher: Then why do you want to learn? Me: I thought it might be a good hobby—something quiet I could do alone. Teacher: Good. Have you done any sketching before? Me: Many years ago in school. I hated it. (mentally sighing thousands of words) Teacher: Today we’ll do sketching. It has methods… I used to lack patience because I was never taught methods. I didn’t know how to draw and could never meet the art teacher’s standards, so I found it frustrating. I was thrilled to drop art after Form 3. But this time I wanted to challenge myself. After nearly 12 lessons, I can say the teacher is experienced and systematic. Each class is progressive. With small groups, there’s individual attention. Drawing isn’t as scary as I remembered—it’s enjoyable. Of course, mastering art takes time. But I’ll keep going.
